We’ve heard about it for years the place that the beautiful people (from the Roman emperors on up to today) have always vacationed, so it must be special! This picture-book coastline is exquisite for hiking: terraced with golden lemon trees bordered by blue sky and the green sea. We’ll savor delicious food and wine, gorgeous landscapes, divine views.  We’ll finish our tour in Naples, the most alive city in Italy, which has influenced the world’s image of Italian song, cuisine, and gaiety.

Tour Overview

Day 1-2

From Naples we head south of Salerno to our family owned seaside hotel in the tiny town of Santa Maria Castellabate. We’ll visit the beautiful Greek temples of Paestum and hike on the promontory.

Day 3-6

Ravello is perched on the top of the world with marvelous views of the sea. We will hike past waterfalls down to Amalfi, taste limoncello and visit some of the luscious flowering gardens in town. We visit the coast towns of Praiano and Positano and hike the “Sentiero degli Dei” (the path of the Gods).

Day 7-10

Ferry to Capri and enjoy marvelous hikes with views overlooking the coastline. Last day and night in the colorful town of Naples; we’ll visit the archeological site of Herculaneum on the way. Drop off in Naples.
