Croatia’s Adriatic Coast
Beautiful nature, history and a dramatically jagged coastline sprinkled with 1,185 islands of all different sizes are some of the reasons why Dalmatia, the southern coast of Croatia, is considered to be a real hidden gem. This unusual geography is due to the Dinaric Alps, which form a long barrier separating Dalmatia from neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina. Because the sea is ever present and has shaped the political and geographical history of this land our tour takes all of this into consideration. We will ferry between islands and explore by hiking and traveling from Split to Dubrovnik, two Unesco Heritage sites. On our journeys we’ll experience the richness of the Dalmatian coast: dramatic waterfalls, old fishing settlements, Roman ruins, medieval cities, unspoiled natural parks, and much more….
